"Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." -Acts 4:10,12 KJV
How do we get to Heaven? Many live their entire lives and wonder where they will end up when they die. Do all roads lead to Heaven? Are all religions correct? All burning questions that need answers.
For those of us who have had spiritual experiences with God, we know unequivocally that Christ is the only way (John 14:6). To the average person that may not mean a thing. However, God made it quite easy for truth to be found. The bible is not a book simply filled with pages by some random guys who decided to write the laws of God.
"For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." -Hebrews 4:12
Reading to understand the Word is the gateway to unlocking the mysteries of God. Not only written discoveries but revelation and truth revealed by God directly. The more of your time you sacrifice with God, the more He will reveal to you.
"Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded." - James 4:8
God designed it this way because of sin. Once Adam & Eve introduced sin to humanity a redeemer was and is required in order for us to stand in the presence of God the Father. That is where the Son of God comes in.
"And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission." - Hebrews 9:22
Before Christ died on the cross animal blood sacrifices were required to be cleansed of sin. God made it easier by offering His son as the ultimate sacrifice so that all we have to do is truly believe and receive salvation.
We cannot be saved through self-actualization. We have the power to transform our lives and shape it how we see fit but Heaven is God's domain. We cannot do as we so please while in these bodies and automatically transport to Heaven regardless of how we've lived. God has certain laws He wants us to live by. God's expectations do not consist of impossible feats. We are all capable of Learning God's ways, living righteous as well as being able to enjoy our lives at the same time.
"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." - Matthew 11:28-30
I can go on for days about the proof of Christ but I challenge the curious, or doubter to dive into the discovery of God for yourself. Weigh the Word against history and study to understand. keeping an open mind and see what happens for you. Yes, there are many religions to choose from, but once you experience the Love of Christ, You. Will. Just. Know! Don't stop searching until you are sure, you will feel it. God is ready and willing to reveal but remember, He is the King of Kings, seek Him with a humble heart.
Prayer of Salvation:
Lord Jesus, I confess my sins and ask for your forgiveness. Please come into my heart as my Lord and Savior. Give me wisdom and guidance for my life and help me to walk in Your footsteps daily by the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord for saving me and for answering my prayer. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him."
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." - Roman's 10:9-13
